We at RC Labs design and manufacture Intelligent Battery Management Systems for EVs and stationary energy storage.
RC Labs’ BMS can physically scale to greater than 100 cells in series (NMC, LFP, LTO, Supercapacitors/Ultracapacitors), thus making it application and chemistry agnostic. Our approach stacks individual BMSs for higher voltage applications and enables plug & play of communication and functional modules. All our BMSs are supported with CAN, UART, LIN, SPI and come with an add-on telematics unit.
The data acquisition and machine learning algorithms enable us to understand battery behavior in different weather conditions, applications and driving terrain. This approach significantly improves battery status estimation, enhances battery life, and impedes fire accidents. The data acquired is used to develop a chemistry agnostic model of the battery, further strengthening the flexibility

What is Battery Management System?
A Battery Management System (BMS) is an electronic circuit that ensures that rechargeable batteries, especially Lithium-based chemistries, do not operate outside their safe operating region – in terms of voltage, current, and temperature. A typical BMS has two layers – a hardware layer with circuit components and a firmware layer. RC Labs’ BMS has an additional software layer of intelligence to further ensure safe and reliable operations of the battery packs.
